The Wisconsin Jobs and Energy Coalition, a group of Wisconsin business leaders in West Salem, is promoting pipelines as the safest form of fuel transportation.

An Enbridge oil pipeline in northern Wisconsin has been moving oil and natural gas liquids since the 50s.

“We believe that Enbridge has proposed the safest, most effective, least environmentally impactful way of moving that pipeline off the reservation,” said Mark Graul, a coalition spokesman.

The Wisconsin Jobs and Energy Coalition says Line 5 is a major supplier of oil and natural gas liquids to the whole Upper Midwest.
